1. Who We Are

VidStories is a Shopify application developed and operated by LK Interactive. For any questions regarding this policy, you can contact us at: contact@lk-interactive.fr.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how VidStories handles information in the context of its operation as a Shopify app. It applies to:

  • Shopify merchants who install and use the VidStories app.
  • Visitors of the storefronts where the VidStories widget is displayed.

3. Data We Collect

VidStories does not collect, store, or process any personal data on our own infrastructure. We do not operate any database of user or visitor information.

Specifically:

  • We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact details from storefront visitors.
  • We do not use cookies or tracking pixels of our own.
  • We do not create visitor profiles or engage in behavioral advertising.
  • We do not store any payment or financial information.

When you install VidStories via the Shopify App Store, Shopify may share certain merchant account information (such as store name and admin email) with us through the standard OAuth installation flow. This information is used solely to authenticate your session and configure the app for your store.

4. Third-Party Services: Cloudflare Stream

VidStories uses Cloudflare Stream to deliver video content on your storefront. When a visitor views a video widget, a script from Cloudflare is loaded in their browser to handle video playback.

As part of this process, Cloudflare may collect technical data inherent to standard web requests, such as IP addresses and browser metadata, for the purposes of content delivery, security, and performance optimization. This data processing is governed exclusively by Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy .

LK Interactive does not receive, access, or control this data.

5. Shopify’s Role

VidStories operates within the Shopify platform. Shopify independently processes merchant and customer data under its own Privacy Policy . LK Interactive is not responsible for Shopify’s data practices.

6. Data Retention

Since VidStories does not store personal data on its own servers, there is no retention period to define. App configuration data (such as your video settings) is stored within your Shopify store and can be removed by uninstalling the app.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right of access – you may request information about data held about you.
  • Right to rectification – you may request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure – you may request deletion of your data.
  • Right to object – you may object to certain types of processing.

Given that VidStories does not store personal data, most of these rights are exercisable directly with Shopify or Cloudflare. However, you are welcome to contact us at contact@lk-interactive.fr with any questions or requests.

8. Children’s Privacy

VidStories is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the « Last updated » date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
